Also this year, the Researchers' Night event has been held at the University of Calabria, on Friday 30 September.
The initiative has attracted thousands of visitors from different areas of Calabria and surrounding regions. A number of events, such as live scientific experiments and demonstrations, exhibitions and tours, conferences and educational seminars, shows and concerts met the interest of wide sectors of the general sociaty, with a very significant attendance by young students and pupils.
UNICAL researchers involved in the DEMETRA project took this event as an opportunity to promote the project and the MSCA actions and to illustrate the results achieved so far and planned for the near future.
DEMETRA Session at ISMA 2016 (KU Leuven, September 20, 2016)

With the aim of maximizing the effectiveness of a DEMETRA workshop for the dissemination of project results a DEMETRA session has been organized at the biennial "ISMA conference on Noise and Vibration Engineering" - ISMA2016, which has been hosted by KU Leuven on 19-21 September 2016 in Leuven (Belgium). Topic of the session was "Design of Mechanical Transmission". Six presentations have been given by DEMETRA fellows on papers contributed by the three DEMETRA partners, along with an interesting presentation on parametric instabilities of flexible gears, given by a researcher external to the consortium, Professor Robert Parker from Virginia Tech University.
